New item-Atlanta
Charles Slick thinks he’s been dealing with a problem long past a date of resolution.
“In late 2016, there was water leaking up through the street in front of my house at 231 Peachtree Battle Ave. After the course of several months, the city of Atlanta finally stopped the leak on Nov. 9, but left this pothole behind,” he wrote.
Slick said he was told a crew would return in February to stabilize the pothole and then finally repave it in March, but there has been no work done as yet.
“It is extremely dangerous as it is in a bicycle lane and if a cyclist hit it he or she would be thrown completely from their bike.”
We sent the item to the city and will let you know when it’s resolved.

Update-Holcomb Bridge Road
In early February, we told you about L.L. Gilbert’s issues over a series of potholes in northern Fulton County.
“The right hand lane on Holcomb Bridge Road, from Ga. 400 all the way to Nesbit Ferry Road is a series of long potholes and poorly repaired stretches that have been there for several years. To avoid them , one has to swerve into the left lane in front of other cars. I have seen no mention of plans to repair this long stretch and it needs it badly,” he wrote.
We heard back from a DOT spokesperson who said the issue had been sent to the area maintenance office for them to review.

Update-DOT
In February, we told you about Dwight Hill’s confusion with some of the signs in the metro area.
“There is a big need for highway directional signage on southbound Hwy. 141 (Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.) as you approach I-285. The problem is that there is no directional signage for those looking for the 285 East entrance ramp,” Hill said.
He recently moved to the metro Atlanta area, and missed the entrance the first time he tried to find it and had to turn around and approach the entrance ramp from the south.
We heard back from the DOT
“Thank you for your comment on the signage on state road 141/Peachtree Industrial Blvd near the I-285 interchange entrance ramps. The department is aware of the challenges with these signs and is working with our traffic operations and maintenance offices to develop a project to upgrade and enhance the guide signage. Please contact the District Traffic Operations office at 770-216-3948 if you have any additional concerns,” wrote a DOT spokesperson.
