Kathryn Voegeli says Peachtree Battle Road is a mess.

“The entire road is a wreck! Workers were working on a new pipeline from Northside Parkway to Moore’s Mill Road for a very long time and now nothing. The road desperately needs to be repaved from one end to other. Some of the city’s wealthiest people live on this road and pay plenty of taxes. Seems like they would at least have a nice roadway in front of their homes,” she wrote.

We sent the information to the city.

Owen Amundsen has an issue with sidewalks.

“Midtown sidewalks are notoriously bad so, back in September, three contiguous property owners decided to pay the city of Atlanta to remove the old broken hex tile and install a new uniform slab sidewalk. We are at 769 Vedado Way and the folks at 765 and 773, left and right of us all gave the city checks for our sidewalks in September.

In November the city came by and installed new walk at 773 but not at the other two. We were told the ‘tickets’ were lost and the process had to begin from scratch,” he wrote.

Omundsen said city crews have been, back, but each time they have looked and left. It has now been four months since we and the folks at 765 Vedado requested new sidewalk and next door nothing has been done and in front of out house there is nothing but dirt instead of a new sidewalk that we expected to match the one already installed at 773 Vedado Way.

Linda Brenner hopes a leak will soon be fixed.

“One block up from our house, at the corner of Cumberland Road and Cumberland Circle in Morningside, a hydrant has been leaking for going on two years now. We have called five times to report it and have been told it’s on a ‘list’ to be resolved. The water flow is substantial enough that it pools at the bottom of Cumberland Road and Monroe, creating a large mass of ice in cold weather and mud and muck at other times,” she wrote.
