Sugar Hill is finalizing the bid process for the next road repairs and repaving, part of a two-year cycle in the LMIG Annual Resurfacing Program. The bid phase will extend into Sept. and construction will be authorized once the bids are opened, contract awarded, and work can be scheduled, perhaps as late as spring of next year. The roads included in the next schedule for improvements include Brogdon Park Court, Brogdon Place Cove, Brogdon Exchange, Creek Park, Cook Drive, Mendi Court, Edinborough Place, Wetherby View, RR Avenue, Hillcrest Drive, Hidden Meadow Way, Hidden Meadow Circle, Simmons Mine Circle, Frontier Drive, Forest Green Drive, Spring Hill Drive, Old Suwanee Road, Pine Acre Drive, Sadie Court, Tallant Drive, and Richland Creek Court.

In addition, design work is complete on two SPLOST-funded sidewalk projects on Whitehead and Suwanee Dam Roads. Bids for these projects are due at the end of Aug. These projects are expected to begin construction later this summer with both together adding some 5.5 miles of new sidewalk in Sugar Hill.
