The metro Somali community will host a "Fight Against Famine" fundraising event on Saturday, with proceeds benefiting Atlanta-based CARE.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, 890 North Indian Creek Drive in Clarkston. There will be youth activities, a fashion show, art exhibit and pre-school reading corner. Also helping with the event are students from Emory University and Georgia Perimeter College and others in community .
