Snellville city leaders and residents gathered Thursday at South Gwinnett High to share their vision of the future. The meeting was the first of three visioning sessions to gather input on the city’s Towne Center plan and future of the city.
Two additional meetings are scheduled: 6 to 8 p.m., March 12 at Brookwood High School, 1255 Dogwood Road, and 6 to 8 p.m., March 19 at Briscoe Park, 2500 Sawyer Parkway.
Residents at Thursday’s meeting discussed ideas such as a theater and cultural center, a wireless community and transportation issues.
The next two events will concentrate on the Towne Center Plan, the Wisteria Pop-up Marketplace and the community unity concept ‘Generation Merge’ as well as the city’s housing options, retail development, transportation and business issues.
