Oak Drive in Smyrna will be closed from Oct. 8 for four weeks for construction of a new sewer service and force main at 5220 South Cobb Drive for Clipper Petroleum/Bojangle’s.

Southern General Contracting of Acworth will perform the work - not just a lane closure - from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays for underground utility construction within the right-of-way.

The contractor will use full-time flaggers, signage during construction and reader boards at each intersection one week before the work to notify the public.
