Smyrna okays Roswell Street Roundabout

April 18, 2018A $1,039,559 contract was awarded 6-0 April 16 by the Smyrna City Council for the Roswell Street Roundabout.
Vertical Earth, Inc. of Cumming was the lowest bidder for the roundabout which was under budget by $74,446.
The roundabout intersection will involve Roswell Street, Hawthorne Avenue and Mathews Street.
Mayor Max Bacon said this project has been planned “for three to four years.”
Funding will come from the 2016 special purpose local option sales tax.
