The Smyrna City Council voted unanimously to approve 68 townhomes on Camp Highland Road.

Prime Interest Inc. will construct the townhomes on 7.25 acres and sell them for the mid-300,000s and up, said applicant attorney Kevin Moore.

During the council’s work session on March 16, the city’s Community Development Director Ken Suddreth said the issue with the pump station had been worked out and there would be no lift station, but the development will tie in to the adjacent neighborhood’s public sewer.

Suddreth said the neighbors in Wetherbrooke, across the street, were concerned about cut-through traffic in their neighborhood when traffic backs up from the East-West Connector.

Both city staff and the Planning and Zoning Commission also recommended approval.
