The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously at its June 16 regular meeting to approve two resolutions related to funding for services provided to senior citizens.

A contract with the Georgia Department of Human Services provides $267,428 for services to low-income seniors with no local match required. An annual contract with the Atlanta Regional Commission is expected to result in $630,902 and federal and state fund with a $50,261 local match. Services provided under this contract include case management, senior recreation, personal care, homemaker, respite, home-delivered meals and congregate meals served in the county’s senior centers.
