Snellville’s Senior Center, 2360 Oak Road is undergoing replacement of substandard materials from the original construction.
“The existing cast stone cornice around the perimeter of the building requires repair,” said Paul Hoover, vice president of Precision Planning Inc., the firm in charge of the repairs.
The building perimeter will be surrounded in scaffolding for the duration of the work to be complete in March, 2015. The contractor will provide Senior Center access during operating hours and be responsible for securing the work area. The city council approved a $126,000 contract earlier this year for the project.
