Sandy Springs officials have called a public meeting for the evening of Dec. 13 to give citizens an opportunity to comment on the city’s plan for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development programs.
The overview of the Sandy Springs annual action plan for HUD programs is to start at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500.
Information gathered at the meeting will be used as part of a needs assessment meeting, 6 p.m. Jan. 10, also at City Hall. At that meeting, residents will provide staff with input for a draft consolidated plan for federal Community Development Block Grant funds, officials said.
The consolidated plan will help the city assess affordable housing and community development needs and market conditions. Grant recipients must report progress made through the publication of a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report.
