Sandy Springs is starting a yearlong process to update its Comprehensive Plan, aimed at guiding the city’s future growth and development. Mayor Rusty Paul said the “visioning” process is important, especially as the city works on developing its downtown area.
Two public forums are planned for residents so share their concerns on transportation, quality of life, environmental concerns, development and other topics. The first session, which will involve civic group leaders, is set for 6:30 p.m. June 23 at Heritage Sandy Springs, 6110 Bluestone Road. A forum for the entire community will follow at 6:30 p.m. June 24 at the USMC Activities Center, 86 Mount Vernon Highway.
The community also can provide input through an online survey at www.sandyspringsga.gov/visioning.
