The Sandy Springs City Council holds a special meeting next week to talk about proposed updates to the city’s zoning code and regulations.

The updates are in the pipeline as part of the city’s The Next Ten planning initiative. The changes will become part of the city’s updating of its overall comprehensive plan. A consultant has been working with various stakeholder groups to rough out changes to the plan, intended as a road map for the covering future land use decisions, population projections, transportation and economic development goals. The document was last updated almost a decade ago.

Next week’s meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Sandy springs city hall council chambers, 7840 Roswell Road, building 500.
