Roswell city officials will decamp to Columbus, Ga for a two-day retreat Friday and Saturday.
Mayor Jere Wood, city council members, City Administrator Kay Love and City Attorney David Davidson will meet 1- 6 p.m. Friday at the offices of development group Uptown Columbus, 25 W. 10th St. to get an overview of that city’s Uptown Riverwalk project. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday they’ll gather at the Columbus Marriott, 800 Front Ave. to discuss the city’s vision, mayor and council priorities, goal-setting and strategic planning.
City spokeswoman Julie Brechbill said the retreats are done every year or two, and with three new council members on board, it’s an opportune time to talk about city visions and goals. The sessions will be open to anyone from Roswell wanting to attend, she said.
