Work on one of several projects along a busy Roswell arterial corridor will move into a final phase Wednesday, after being delayed by a combination of wet weather and chilly temperatures.
Crews will start milling the stretch of Holcomb Bridge Road from Old Alabama Road to Ga. 400 on Wednesday, with paving and re-striping set for Friday through Tuesday.
The work will be done between the morning and afternoon rush hours and through the night. The milling will affect traffic signal timing, perhaps worsening expected delays, said City Transportation Director Steve Acenbrak.
He added that once the work is done, motorists will be able to use a third westbound travel lane on Holcomb Bridge between Old Alabama and the Ga. 400 northbound on-ramp, plus a new through-lane on Old Alabama Road northbound from Holcomb Bridge.
Offiaicals hope to debut the improvements next week, with all the projects set to finish by the end of April.
