A $289,609 contract to renovate and upgrade the fire simulator at the Roswell Alpharetta Public Safety Training Center has been approved by the Roswell City Council.
The contract was awarded to BullEx Inc., a provider of firefighting training tools and structures. BullEx was “the lowest, most responsive responsible proposer” of four respondents to a request for proposals for the job, according to a staff report.
The company’s proposal included three interior live fire “props,” or scenarios; an external pressurized propane container system, and a stand-alone smoke generator.
The public safety training center at 11565 Maxwell Road, Alpharetta, offers training for state and local police, fire and emergency medical professionals.
