Road closures have been announced for the Big Shanty Festival in Kennesaw.

Beginning at 6 p.m. April 21 until 8 p.m. April 23, J.O. Stephenson Avenue will be closed from Main Street to Dallas Street. Cherokee Street will be closed from Main Street to Shirley Drive/Big Shanty Drive. Watts Drive will be closed from Dallas Street to Main Street. Beginning at 6 a.m. April 22 until 8 p.m. April 23, Main Street will be closed from Summer Street to Moon Station Road.

For the 9:30 a.m. parade with high school bands, floats and more than 2,000 marchers, a rolling closure will begin at 9 a.m. April 22 until the parade’s conclusion at around 10:30 a.m. on Park Drive from Adams Park to Main Street and Main Street from Park Drive to Lewis Street.

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 22 and noon to 5 p.m. April 23.

Downtown parking will be limited by the road construction in progress around City Hall.

Parking is available at Adams Park, 2753 Watts Drive, Kennesaw, with shuttle buses running from Swift-Cantrell Park, 3140 Old 41 Highway, Kennesaw and from Kennesaw Crossing Shopping Center, Cobb Parkway at North Roberts Road.

Cosponsored by the city of Kennesaw and the Kennesaw Business Association, this free family-friendly festival is one of the largest arts and crafts shows in North Georgia, offering more than 200 booths of crafters and artisans and live entertainment on several stages, children’s activities and more than 40 food options.
