Renovations are underway to improve the Lillian Webb Park fountain in Norcross. The design phase is nearly complete, including new pumps, control equipment and an aboveground equipment building. The repairs are the result of a leak to the below-grade equipment last July. Physical work is expected to commence by the end of January, starting with removal of the damaged equipment. Improvements to move equipment above-grade are expected to significantly reduce future maintenance costs.

To ensure public safety, the splash pad and immediate surrounding areas will be blocked off for the duration of construction. Norcross officials ask for cooperation in observing the restricted areas while continuing to enjoy areas of the park still open. Construction is slated for completion by April 15.
