The provost at Clark Atlanta University has accepted an offer to become the next president of Alabama State University, according to a note Clark Atlanta President Carlton Brown sent Thursday.
Joseph Silver's contract with Alabama State is expected to be approved June 22.
Once that action is taken Clark Atlanta will begin a national search for a new provost, Brown wrote.
