The Powder Springs City Council will hold a public hearing 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Council Chambers, Community Development Building, 4488 Pineview Drive on a request to allow apartments, retail and a hotel.

Seven Springs Station LLC is requesting a change in the site plan and conditions for property at Richard D. Sailors Parkway, Florence Road and C.H. James Parkway to allow these developments.

Also, the city’s planning and zoning commission will hold public hearings at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Council Chambers.

Century Communities is requesting a hardship variance for clearing of more than five acres.

Amendments to the Unified Development Code will be considered about general provisions, zoning and overlay districts, official zoning map, use definitions, specific provisions, architectural and site design review, access parking and loading, signs, trees, landscaping and buffers.

Then the council will hold public hearings on these items at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Council Chambers.

Anyone wanting to speak at a public hearing must disclose campaign contributions to the Community Development Department five days before the hearing.
