A team of professional law enforcement assessors will visit the Milton Police Department from April 9 to 11 as part of the re-accreditation process. The public is invited to participate.

Milton residents can share their thoughts and opinions on public safety issues and the performance of the police department at an information and public comment session 6:30 p.m. April 10, at the Municipal Court, 13000 Deerfield Parkway, Suite 107-E.

Comments will be limited to 10 minutes and must focus on the department's ability to comply with standards of the accrediting agency, the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. The standards can be viewed at: www.calea.org.
