Police in Sandy Springs are accepting donations and collecting school supplies this week.
As part of the department’s back-to-school supply drive, Sandy Springs police will be set up at the Target at 5570 Roswell Road on Friday, Aug. 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The supplies are for “deserving elementary school students,” according to a flyer.

Items that are needed for these students include crayons, glue sticks, dry erase markers, No. 2 pencils, hand sanitizer, one-inch binders, Kleenex, highlighters, composition notebooks, index cards, rulers, Ziploc bags and more.

Sandy Springs police are also accepting school supply donations at their headquarters on 7840 Roswell Road, building 300.
