South Core Construction of Kennesaw was awarded a $545,000 contract and a $355,000 contract by the Cobb school board for renovations at Due West Middle in Marietta and Clay Elementary in Austell. The completion date for both projects is scheduled for July 18.
Renovations to Due West include interior and exterior painting, floor covering replacement, replacement of playground equipment and repaving of the parking lots.
Renovations to Clay include replacement of playground equipment, new gym floor surface and replacement of interior lights with high-efficiency fixtures.
