Following a recent public hearing, the Peachtree Corners City Council voted to establish an Entertainment District. The area includes the Forum shopping center area and the city’s new Town Center area which is currently under construction.

According to the city’s community development director, Diana Wheeler, “The purpose of the Entertainment District is to relax some of the rules about alcoholic beverage consumption within the area of the Town Center. Because this area is distinct and has outdoor entertainment and gathering spaces, strict adherence to regulations about outdoor consumption would be impractical. In addition, the city may want to allow people to ‘brown bag’ for certain special events and the Entertainment District accommodates that.”
