Boat operators on Lake Peachtree will soon have a little more room to maneuver, following approval by the City Council of Peachtree City on April 2 to fund a small amount of additional dredging. The council voted 4-1 to allocate $24,200 to remove .3 acres of silt and vegetation near the Pinecrest Dock off Hip Pocket Road, which will provide 2 feet of clearance for boat motors. Commissioner Mike King noted that the dock is for public access and not just used by lake residents. Eric Imker voted against the measure.
