Peachtree City considers council meeting change

The City Council of Peachtree City is considering changing its meeting time to 6:30 p.m. in 2018. The current start time is 7 p.m.

The proposed ordinance change was previewed at the Nov. 16 meeting and will be voted on soon. The city is asking residents to note their preference online at The meetings will still be held on the first and third Thursday of each month, although the mayor can schedule special meetings as needed.

A similar time change was implemented by the Fayette County Board of Commissioners earlier this year.
