Peachtree City confirms new posts
Peachtree City’s first city council meeting of 2016 last Thursday included confirmations and appointments of new and old positions.
Newly elected Post 1 representative Phil Prebor was sworn in, as was Post 2 member Mike King, who was re-elected without opposition. King was also unanimously named mayor pro-tem.
The council voted 5-0 to re-appoint Dr. Thomas Faulkner to the Fayette County Board of Health through December 2021.
Stephen Ott was re-appointed as the city’s municipal judge, with an hourly rate increase from $110 to $125 and an option to extend his term for three more years.
