Peachtree City’s June 4 City Council meeting included unanimous approval of two contracts for new and existing outdoor structures.
First was an allocation of $89,500 to Engineered Restorations, the only bidder, for repairs to the City Hall/Picnic Park bridge. During a routine inspection, the structure was found to have “significant” rust damage; repair was chosen as more cost-effective than replacement. Funds will come from the bridge maintenance line item already budgeted.
Also granted by the council was an award of $60,665 to Modular Connections for a pre-fabricated concrete restroom building for the Line Creek Nature Area, off Ga. 54 West. The park has been expanded in recent years but does not yet have restroom facilities. The item was already budgeted as SPLOST Project 37.
