Norcross mayor to speak on transportation vote

Norcross Mayor Bucky Johnson will speak to the Greater Gwinnett Group of the Sierra Club about the Regional Transportation Investment Act at 7 p.m. Thursday at Berkmar High School, 405 Pleasant Hill Road, Lilburn.

Johnson chairs the regional roundtable that will propose a final list of transportation projects to be considered by voters next year. Johnson will discuss the potential benefits if voters approve a 1-cent sales tax to pay for the transportation projects.
