Norcross to elect mayor, two council members

The terms of Norcross Mayor Bucky Johnson and Councilmembers Craig Newton and Pierre Levy will expire this year. Anyone interested in running for one of these offices may qualify between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 21 through Aug. 25 in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 65 Lawrenceville St.
Individuals intending to qualify should complete a notice of candidacy form available at www.norcrossga.net/index.aspx?nid=276. The qualifying fee for mayor is $310.50 and $243.00 for council member.
The election will be held 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 in the 2nd floor conference room at City Hall.
