Gwinnett commissioners on June 23 approved a zoning request to allow for a Waffle House at Bethesda Walk shopping center on the west side of Bethesda School Road, north of its intersection with State Route 29/Lawrenceville Highway in Lawrenceville. The zoning change was needed to allow for a 24-hour business.
Approval was granted with conditions restricting the type of businesses allowed as outparcels and no outparcel will be allowed at the corner of Bethesda School Road and Lawrenceville Highway. Construction plans will also be required to conform to standards set by the Unified Development Ordinance and architectural standards.
