Retail has suffered during the pandemic, and record shops are no exception. Some posted GoFundMe campaigns to help them stay afloat and pay employees, some offered mail order and curbside pickup and now a few are slowly reopening their doors to customers. A COVID Business Impact Survey has a new round of questions for north Fulton business owners affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, the Georgia Department of Economic Development and Roswell Inc. are conducting the survey through May 17. The partners want to know how effectively businesses are able to operate now compared to their level of operations before the public health crisis, as well as what kind of support is needed.

It includes questions for new respondents and those who answered the initial survey in April.

More than half of the 800 respondents in the first survey worried that their businesses would not survive, according to results presented by Andrea Worthy, economic development director for Sandy Springs during City Council meeting held on April 21. Responses were from businesses in Sandy Springs, Roswell, Mountain Park, Alpharetta, Milton and Johns Creek.

Professions of those who took part in the initial survey ranged from law to medical and dental to retail, house cleaning and construction.

The new survey can be accessed through city websites, Roswell Inc. and the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
