The City Council of Peachtree City has approved the addition of a new member to the city’s Airport Authority.

The council voted 4-0-1 (with Mayor Vanessa Fleisch absent) at its Dec. 12 meeting to appoint Max Braun as a full member of the five-person board. Braun had been previously designated as an alternate member by the council. The city said appointing Braun to the full position will “provide a new member with experience and allow the board to begin the new year with a full roster.” The council must still choose a new alternate for the authority early next year from among the applicants who applied for both positions last month.

The Airport Authority is a separate governmental agency that meets monthly regarding operations at the Atlanta Regional Airport-Falcon Field in southern Peachtree City.
