Neighbors in Rivertown along the banks of the St. Johns River say they're relieved the 10-foot-11 inch gator was pulled from the lake where kids fish and play.
It allegedly made its way from the river through a tunnel.
Trappers baited the gator from the Rivertown pond Friday afternoon.
Neighbors told Action News Jax some men jumped in to help the licensed trappers so that they could all pull the gator out the water.
