A DeKalb County substitute teacher has been fired after a mother said her son caught the man watching pornography in class.
The sub, who hasn’t been identified by officials, was at his desk in front of students at Montgomery Elementary when the boy walked up, the mother told Brookhaven police.
She said her son told her the teacher wasn’t deterred and kept watching the computer, long enough for three other children to see.
The 9-year-old came home and told his mom about the “naked women.”

The incident occurred April 21, according to the Brookhaven police report. But Principal Lori Bolds sent a letter to parents this Wednesday.
It didn’t explain what the teacher allegedly did. It simply said he was accused of “misusing district technology resources.”
“Once this allegation was brought to the attention of school leadership and investigated, the employee was immediately removed from the school,” Bolds wrote.
The teacher has been fired, she added.
Court records show the teacher hasn’t been charged with any crime.
Further information wasn’t released.
