The Milton City Council has approved a one-year contract with Dynamo Pool Management Inc. to service the swimming pool at the newly acquired Milton Country Club.
Dynamo will be responsible for opening the pool, staffing it, and closing and winterizing it at the end of the season, according to a staff report to the council. The contract is worth $45,450 for fiscal 2018 and $2,600 for fiscal 2019. Dynamo submitted the lowest of three written quotes for the work.
According to the contract, Dynamo will manage the pool including inspecting and cleaning it and ordering chemicals; assisting the city in acquiring a swimming pool operating permit from the local health department; and furnishing certified lifeguards.
The pool will be “swim ready” May 14, when swim teams may start practicing, the contract says. It will be open to the general public May 26 to Sept. 4, with hours of 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Aug. 5; 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from Aug. 6 to Sept. 2, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 3.
