The Georgia Department of Education is hosting a conference on the growing travesty of human sex trafficking. About 400 girls under the age of 18 are trafficked in Atlanta each month. The GaDOE has partnered with subject-matter experts to help inform school personnel of the warning signs and help them learn more about the resources available for these students. Three programs are planned: Tuesday, Nov. 1; Nov. 30 and Dec. 1; Jan. 30 and 31; and Feb. 27 and 28. Location: Floyd Room, 20th Floor Twin Towers West, 200 Piedmont Ave., Atlanta.
