Cobb residents are invited to a meeting at 7 p.m. Aug. 31 to discuss the East Cobb phase of the Southwest Connector water main project.

The meeting will be at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta.

This project will replace more than six miles of aging water main pipe, beginning near the James E. Quarles Water Treatment Plant on Lower Roswell Road and ending at the intersection of Terrell Mill Road and Cobb Parkway.

The project is expected to begin in September and end in late 2017.

Continuous lane closures are expected and heavy delays on Lower Roswell Road and Terrell Mill Road, requiring the use of alternate routes.
