The McDonough City Council convened April 13 for a special called meeting and approved its consent agenda without discussion. That included approval of a $18,450 purchase of 90 water meters with antennas; allocation of $30,697 in SPLOST funds to return excess interest income on unspent bond proceeds to the Internal Revenue Services; and a $12,479 payment to the Henry County District Attorney’s office relating to seized assets.
Mayor Billy Copeland and Mayor Pro Tem Craig Elrod met in the council’s regular meeting room while the other five council members participated in the meeting via video conference.
