With a little more than two weeks before MARTA service begins, county, pro-transit and MARTA officials are hosting a series of information sessions to help residents be prepared to board the buses when limited service launches March 21. The sessions are expected to deal with routes, fares and Breeze cards, public safety and other pertinent information. Here are some events:
- Friend of Clayton Transit will host a MARTA community update meeting on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Center of Hope Ministries, 442 Roy Huie Road in Riverdale.
- Rep. Mike Glanton will host a “Meet MARTA” Day in Clayton on Saturday from 10 a.m. t0 2 p.m. at the Hearts to Nourish Hope Headquarters, 640 Ga. 138 S.W. in Riverdale.
- A MARTA to Clayton County ribbon-cutting ceremony and Meet MARTA Day will be held on March 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Riverdale Town Centre, 7210 Church St. in Riverdale.
