MARTA holds public hearing Thursday on Clayton transit

Clayton County residents will get to decide what kind of transit system works best for the county. MARTA is hosting a public hearing Thursday at 7 p.m. in the boardroom of the county administration building, 112 Smith St. in Jonesboro. Limited bus services starts next March. MARTA is offering free rides to Thursday’s meeting from four spots: The Riverdale Town Center, 7200 Church St., Riverdale; Forest Park’s Park & Recreation building, 803 Forest Parkway in Forest Park; Carl Rhodenizer Recreation Center, 3499 Rex Rd. in Rex and Gerald Matthews Park, 1935 McDonough Rd. in Hampton. Departure times for all spots are 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Return times are 7:30 p.m. and at the end of the meeting. For a ride, call 404 949-5337.
