The Marietta Police Department is reminding drivers of the seriousness of drinking and driving in light of the upcoming celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day.
Officers will be conducting intense patrols for drunk and impaired drivers on Thursday and Friday.
Drivers planning to attend St. Patrick Day celebrations are urged to have a plan for alternative methods of transportation, such as a sober driver or taxi service. If you are caught drinking and driving, you will go to jail, department officials said.
