Almost time to re-up your pet’s rabies vaccine? If you live in Loganville, you can get it done for free.
Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement is partnering with four local rescue organizations to host a rabies clinic for residents of the 30052 zip code in the Loganville area. The clinic will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bay Creek Park pavilion, located on 175 Ozora Rd. in Loganville.
There will be 300 inoculations available courtesy of the animal welfare department, Planned PEThood, Animal Alliance of Georgia, Society of Humane Friends of Georgia and Canine Pet Rescue.
Free rabies shots will be available for dogs and cats at the clinic. Pet owners must bring proof of residency in order to get the free vaccination. There will also be information available about low-cost spay and neuter options at the clinic, according to a county release.
Similar free clinics are being planned for other parts of the county, but specific dates and locations have not yet been announced.
