The Locust Grove City Council voted at its June 3 regular meeting to give final plat approval for the first phase of the Nine Oaks subdivision, on the south side of Peeksville Road across from Locust Grove United Methodist Church and Warren Holder Park.
The overall development calls for 75 lots on 48.1 acres, while the first phase consists of 31 lots on 19.3 acres, according to a city staff report. Other specifications include a minimum lot size of 18,000 square feet, minimum lot width of 100 feet, and minimum house size of 2,000 square feet. The council also approved architectural plans for an accessory building at the Bunn Grading location on Hwy 42 near the Butts County line.
The new structure will measure 100 feet by 100 feet and be about 30 feet high with metal siding on all four sides.
