Lease renewed for Henry County police precinct

The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its March 5 regular meeting to approve the renewal of a lease for the Henry County Police Department’s Ellenwood/Fairview precinct headquarters in the Paradise Shoppes of Ellenwood retail complex at the intersection of Fairview, Panola and East Atlanta roads.

The precinct has been located there since 2011. The new contract takes effect July 1 and is for 24 months. Monthly rent and other fees total $1,347.49 according to a staff report, and the annual rent is equal to $8 per square foot, a slight increase from the $7 per square foot in the previous lease.
