The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Feb. 18 regular meeting to approve a lease agreement with the Georgia Department of Human Services’ Division of Family and Children Services, which occupies a county-owned facility consisting of 38,000 square feet at 125 Henry Parkway in McDonough. The annual lease amount of $408,621.88 is equal to $34,051.82 and the DHS will pay all of the utilities.
In two unrelated actions, the board officially accepted an allocation of $1,500 from the U.S. Secret Service for the Henry County Police Department’s participation in the Electronic Crimes Task Force during the 2020 fiscal year, and the commissioners also approved an expenditure of $6,645 for utility relocation costs pertaining to a pipe replacement project on New Hope Drive.
