Lane closures announced for I-285/400 improvement project
Overnight lane closures are planned through Friday for I-285 in the Perimeter area for preliminaries to the I-285/Ga. 400 interchange reconstruction. JOHN SPINK / JSPINK@AJC.COM
Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation says lanes will be closed on I-285 eastbound and westbound overnight this week.
The lane closures are part of the the 285/400 Improvement Project, which aims to ease traffic at the convergence of the major roads.
The closures are:
- 9 p.m. Tuesday through 5 a.m. Wednesday: Two left lanes will close on I-285 westbound from Peachtree Dunwoody Road to Glenridge Drive.
- 8 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday: One right lane and shoulder will close on I-285 westbound at Roswell Road.
- 8 p.m. Thursday through 6 a.m. Friday: One right lane and shoulder will close on I-285 eastbound from Riverside Drive to east of Ashford Dunwoody Road. No more than two miles will be closed at any time.
