They give to help those who have already given. Now it's time that the caregivers for military troops are recognized for their work.
The nonprofit Pentagon Federal Credit Union Foundation will hold a video contest to honor the caregiver of a wounded member of the military or a veteran as the “Hero at Home”.
The public will help select the winner on YouTube. Entries will be accepted through April 12.
The winner will receive the award during the foundation's Eighth Annual Night of Heroes Gala in May in Washington, D.C.
To enter, upload on YouTube a one- to two-minute video about caregiver who is helping an injured service member or veteran. Go to www.pentagonfoundation.org/heroathomecontest for more information about entering and how to vote.
