Kennesaw council candidate died Monday

Kennesaw City Council candidate George “Junior” Grumbein died Monday, Sept. 21, morning after experiencing a medical emergency at Kennesaw City Hall.

Kennesaw Police Chief Bill Westenberger posted on the city’s website that, despite of immediate CPR procedures, Grumbein, a retired Kennesaw police officer, died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Grumbein had qualified recently as a City Council candidate for Post 2 with Yvette M. A. Daniel and Tim Killingsworth.
