John Black, the recently retired president from East Georgia State College, will serve as the interim president of Macon State College starting July 1, University System of Georgia officials said Tuesday.
Macon State President Jeffery Allbritten is leaving to become district president of Edison State College in Florida.
The college is merging with Middle Georgia College and the consolidation is expected to be completed in January.
